Superintendent Greg Gray says preliminary K-through-12 enrollment figures indicate that over 6,000 students are enrolled in the Brighton Area School District for the fall term. For the 2016-17 term ended in June, the district had an enrollment of 5,994.

Gray says the decline in school enrollment of previous years seems to have stopped and will continue to show gradual increases as long as the economy remains strong. Enrollment at the Bridge Alternative High School also is looking strong this fall, at 130 students, in unofficial figures. Gray says the official fall enrollment figures will be known after the 4th Wednesday count in a couple of weeks. (TT)
