The WHMI “Making the Grade” contest is back for 2025!  We are seeking nominations of exceptional teachers that are currently working in the Livingston County Area.

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES:

  • Contestants must be at least 18 years old unless otherwise noted.
  • One winner per household is allowed every 30 days.
  • Employees of WHMI, participating sponsors, promotional partners, other radio stations heard in the Livingston County area, and members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
  • Contestants must live or work in Livingston County, Michigan or adjoining counties.
  • Prizes must be picked up within 30 days of winning or forfeited.
  • WHMI is under no obligation to mail or deliver prizes.
  • WHMI is not responsible for mailed prizes that are lost or damaged during delivery.
  • For promotions including prize delivery, the delivery area is limited to Livingston County, Michigan and adjoining counties.
  • Prizes valued at or above $600.00 may only be won every 6 months.
  • Prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
  • Any local, state, and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • If the value of the prize is $600.00 or more, the winner will be required to sign a release form acknowledging tax liability.
  • If the value of the prize is $600.00 or more, the winner will receive a FORM 1099 for that amount for the same year the prize(s) or cash was received.
  • WHMI does not warranty any prizes beyond the warranty provided by the manufacturer or sponsor.
  • WHMI is not responsible for any technical issues that may interfere with a contestant being able to contact or communicate with the WHMI studio.
  • Winner acknowledges that WHMI staff shall have the right to publicize their name, likeness, and voice to promote their participation in the contest.
  • Failure to comply with contest rules will result in disqualification.
  • Some WHMI promotions may require contestants (or their representatives) to attend the grand prize drawing to win. This will be reiterated at the time of qualification.
  • WHMI reserves the right to change the contest rules at any time. Any material changes to any promotion will be announced in a clear and timely manner.
  • Only one prize winner or grand prize finalist per household for each contest unless specified otherwise.
  • WHMI prize giveaway mechanisms vary from contest to contest. All critical contest details are clearly and frequently announced on 93.5FM during each giveaway promotion, but we will gladly explain them further or provide them in writing by contacting Office Manager, Connie Bailey.
