Lane closures are planned on I-96 near Howell this weekend and could bring backups.

The Michigan Department of Transportation advises there will be a double lane closure on westbound I-96 at Latson Road for pavement patching in the center lane. The double lane closure will be in place starting at 9:30pm Friday lasting through noon on Sunday.

Motorists are advised to plan extra time when traveling through the area and to watch for traffic slowdowns. (JM)
