The Caroline Street project in Fenton is set to begin its final stage.

Work to link Walnut Street to LeRoy via Caroline Street began last fall to help improve the traffic flow and accessibility to downtown Fenton. This Thursday, April 5th, Caroline Street, from LeRoy to Walnut, is slated to close, weather permitting. The 4 to 6 week project will install concrete sidewalks, brick crosswalks and irrigation lines for the various plants and trees.

Officials say they will also be some parking spaces in adjacent parking lots that will be blocked off for safety issues. The $400,000 project is being funded by Downtown Development Authority construction bonds. (JK)
