All ballot proposals were approved by Livingston County voters Tuesday.
City of Brighton residents approved a 2.5-mil Headlee Amendment override proposal. The 7-year millage will generate roughly $1.15-million per year to be used exclusively on city street improvements.
A millage proposal being put forward by the Brighton Area Fire Authority also passed, with voters in the City, Brighton and Genoa Townships all casting ballots. The 0.89-mill request is for 12 years and will aid the organization with capital improvements and infrastructure.
Finally, voters in the Howell Public Schools district passed a new $39-million bond proposal to provide for infrastructure repairs, security enhancements at each school and improvements in educational areas and sports and performing arts facilities.
