Local residents who were set to receive full Secretary of State services from the traveling office will no longer have that opportunity, after it was announced that its planned stop in Brighton later this month has been canceled.

The Secretary of State Mobile Office had been scheduled to pay a visit to the Brighton District Library on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th. However, the visit was canceled Tuesday.

Shawn Starkey, Communications Director for the Michigan Department of State, told WHMI that mobile unit is currently down, and they are assessing when it will be back up and running. (JK)
