Voters Approve Local Ballot Proposals

All local ballot proposals passed in Tuesday’s Primary Election.
Road millage renewals were approved in Cohoctah, Handy and Howell Townships. In Oceola Township, voters approved a road maintenance and improvement millage renewal.
Millage requests passed for both the Howell Area Fire Authority and the Putnam Township Fire Department.
A bond proposal for a new fire station headquarters and aerial ladder truck was approved by voters in Green Oak Township.
Voters within Fowlerville Community Schools approved an operating millage renewal. Voters in the Village of Fowlerville also approved a millage for a mosquito control program.
Library millages also proved successful Tuesday. Voters approved a millage renewal for the Cromaine District Library in Hartland Township as well as a millage for the Hamburg Township Library.
