The Livingston County law enforcement community has announced the results of the “Cram the Cruiser” food drive event.

On November 18th, members from all local police departments went to local grocery stores and accepted non-perishable donations of food.

The Livingston County community was said to have supported the effort tremendously by donating 18,000-pounds of non-perishable items and cash donations totaling over $1,500.

The donation locations were the Kroger Stores in Hartland, Howell, Brighton and Hamburg, Aldi’s in Brighton and Howell, Busch’s in Pinckney, and Walmart in Fowlerville and Howell.

The law enforcement community consisted of Brighton Police, Fowlerville Police, Green Oak Police, Hamburg Police, Howell Police, Michigan State Police, Pinckney Police, Unadilla Police, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

All the donations were given to local food pantries and other nonprofits that take care of the community.
