A free one-day event that helps connect Livingston County residents in need with local resources, information, and freebies is this weekend.

The Livingston County Homeless Continuum of Care Committee is hosting Community Connect – 2025.

The free event connects people with needed information, resources, and free services in a family-friendly, convenient environment.

Guests are provided access to free health screenings, legal consultation, employment services featuring local job opportunities, food, clothing, books, personal care items, haircuts, and more.

The event is specific to those in Livingston County and will also provide basic needs such as personal care items, pantry staples, household paper items like toilet paper, laundry detergent, and to-go box lunch.
The event is sponsored by the Brighton Masonic Lodge, Livingston Sunrise Rotary, and the Livingston County United Way.

Community Connect takes place this Saturday from 10am to 1pm at 2|42 Community Church located on Grand River in Genoa Township. Volunteers will be on hand to direct parking.
