The 4th Annual Youth Employment Fair is set later this month.
The Fair is hosted by Livingston Educational Service Agency's Career Development department and brings students and employers together for an evening of networking, career exploration, and opportunity.
The Fair runs from 5:30 to 7:30pm on April 23rd at LESA at 1425 West Grand River in Howell.
The event is geared toward students and young adults - whether seeking a summer job, part-time or full-time position, apprenticeship, internship, or job shadow.
Employers from a variety of industries - including Trinity Health, LaFontaine, Moeller Aerospace, Michigan CAT, Chestnut Development, and more - will be attending to discuss their open roles and career growth opportunities.
Attendees who pre-register for the event will automatically be entered for a chance to win a $50 gas card and every attendee will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of the giveaway prizes sponsored by participating employers.
Those interested can preview current employers and pre-register at the Livingston Career Hub using the provided link.
As for employers, the event is for those looking to hire or share what their business is about. Organizers say the fair is more than just a recruitment event – “it's a chance to introduce students to the career ladders within your industry and cultivate the next generation of talent. Whether you're hiring for entry-level positions, internships, apprenticeships, or job shadows, this is your opportunity to connect with local talent and showcase what your company has to offer”.
There is no cost to participate. Employers can engage with students and young adults exploring career paths in various industries. Organizers say it also offers a chance to network with other local businesses and workforce development leaders.
Spots are limited. Employer registration is also through the provided link.
