WHITE CLOUD, Mich. (AP) - A western Michigan man has been convicted of two charges in the death of his 14-month-old stepdaughter. WOOD-TV reports Wayne Arthur-Scott Brown of Newaygo was found guilty Wednesday of first-degree child abuse and first-degree murder. A sentencing date hasn't been set yet. He was arrested in February 2017 after 14-month-old Laylah Heether was found unresponsive while she was at home with Brown.
