MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - Want to cool off in Lake Michigan? Beware. The National Weather Service says there are serious weather-related hazards Saturday, from north of Holland to Manistee, including high waves and rip currents. Forecasters are especially citing Grand Haven State Park in Ottawa County and Pere Marquette State Park in Muskegon County. Winds could whip up to 25 mph, and waves could reach 5 feet. An Ohio man was swept off a Lake Michigan pier and died last weekend at Frankfort.
